Hello Scope users and any other listener or reader,
Have you ever been to the US? We expect the majority of us will have to reply ‘no’. Well, some have and two of them are telling their story in this issue of Scope student magazine. America may not be the land of unlimited possibilities for all, but it is special, as you will hear from Jacqueline, a US citizen who was willing to talk to us about it.
You may have missed the passing away of the last veteran soldier from World War I, Harry Patch. Find out more about his awful experience.

Did you ever prepare a real English tea? Complete with scones, cream, buns, etc.? Well, you will have a chance to do just that if you like. And there are a few more titbits about England and things English in this copy you are getting soon.
Much of what we wear comes from plants

Well, leather; less controversial than fur, but still, a material that will provoke some people’s strong dislike.
